We've been busy in Greeley lately - and for good reason. We wrapped up a Bryant furnace installation and then turned right around to get an AC unit cleaned up and ready for warmer weather. Two different jobs, same goal: make sure the system is running the way it should.
The furnace side of things went in clean. Bryant makes reliable equipment, and a proper installation matters just as much as the unit itself. Everything has to be connected right - gas line, PVC flue piping, drainage. Cut corners on the install and you'll pay for it later, either in efficiency or repairs.
Then came the AC cleaning. This is the part a lot of homeowners skip, and it really shouldn't be skipped. A condenser that's packed with dirt and debris has to work harder to do its job. That means more energy used, more wear on the compressor, and a system that just doesn't keep up when temps start climbing. A good flush-out makes a real difference.
Spring is the right time to handle this. Before the heat hits, before you actually need the AC to perform - that's when you want to know it's ready. A dirty system found in July is a much bigger problem than one caught and cleaned in April.
If your AC hasn't been looked at in a while, it's worth getting ahead of it. Clean equipment runs better, lasts longer, and costs less to operate. Simple as that.
